Questions about this product
How many rolls and how many sheets?
12 Mega XL rolls at 480 sheets each, 5760 sheets in total.
How does a Mega XL roll compare to a regular roll?
A Mega roll holds several standard rolls worth of paper, which is why 12 of them lasts like a much larger pack and why the roll can be a tight fit in an enclosed holder. Check your holder before buying a Mega size.
Is it 2 ply?
Yes, 2 Ply, and embossed rather than flat. The embossing is what gives it bulk and grip at this price point.
Is it septic safe?
Yes, listed septic safe and clog free. It breaks down rather than holding together in a trap, which matters on a septic system or an older narrow waste line.
Is it scented?
Unscented. No fragrance added, which is the usual preference for anyone with sensitive skin.
Is it soft?
Soft is both the most common praise and the most common criticism on this line, which is the honest answer. Most reviewers call it soft for the price, and a minority find it rough compared with a premium 3 ply. It is a value 2 ply, and it performs like one.
Will it clog my toilet?
It is rated clog free and septic safe. A low flow toilet still wants a reasonable amount per flush, and no 2 ply paper survives a half dozen folds of it going down at once.
Does it leave lint?
Embossed 2 ply leaves less lint than a quilted premium paper. If you are seeing lint, it is usually the paper drying out in a bathroom with a radiator rather than the paper itself.
How long will 12 rolls last?
A two person household on Mega XL rolls is typically six to eight weeks. At 5760 sheets total there is a lot of paper in the pack, which is the reason to buy this size over a four roll pack.
Where should I store the extra rolls?
Somewhere dry and closed. Toilet paper absorbs humidity and a roll that has sat in a damp bathroom cupboard tears instead of pulling cleanly.
How is this different from the 9 Mega roll pack?
Same 2 ply embossed paper. This pack is 12 rolls of the larger Mega XL size, so more sheets per roll and fewer changes.
