About this product
Gain Original fragrance for your trash can
Febreze Trash Odor Fighter Gain Original refills provide continuous fragrance and odor control inside a trash can. This package contains two replacement refills for a Febreze TRASH holder, which is sold separately. Each refill contains 0.16 fluid ounces, or 4.88 milliliters; the package declares a total of 0.33 fluid ounces, or 9.76 milliliters. Choose this refill pack when you already have the compatible holder and want to keep using it.
Gain Original is the fragrance choice for someone who wants that familiar scent around a garbage bin. The refill is designed to reduce up to 99% of common trash odors. Place the fragrance close to the trash using the holder so it can work continuously between bag changes. You can use the system with scented or unscented trash bags, allowing you to keep the bags you already prefer.
Where it fits into your routine
The TRASH system is intended for kitchen garbage cans, bathroom wastebaskets, and diaper pails. An appropriate mounting location can be underneath a lid or on the side of the bin. The holder may also be placed on the inside wall of a cabinet. Select a flat, clean, dry location where the product will stay dry during use, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
Each refill provides up to 45 days of freshness. The two refills offer up to 90 days when used one after the other, with one refill in a holder at a time. That combined supply figure is useful when planning replacements; it does not mean each individual refill lasts 90 days. Check the refill as you use it and replace it when needed. Your perception of fragrance strength can differ with the space and personal preference.
Replacing a refill in the holder
Pull the used refill upward out of your existing Febreze TRASH holder, then slide the new refill down into place. Inserting the refill into the holder activates it. Keep the reusable holder for the next replacement. This two-refill package does not supply a new holder or a mounting system, so make sure your existing holder is attached securely before installing the replacement fragrance.
The refill works without batteries or an electrical outlet, which is useful for bins located away from a wall socket. It releases fragrance continuously after activation, without a powered spray schedule to select. Check that the holder stays secure as you open the lid and change bags. Avoid locations where splashes can wet the product. The refill is labeled as an eye irritant; read its precautions before handling or replacing it.

Questions about this product
Does this pack include a Febreze TRASH holder?
It contains two Gain Original replacement refills. The holder is sold separately. You need a compatible Febreze TRASH holder to install and activate a refill, so this pack suits an existing system or a separately purchased holder.
How long do the two refills last?
Each refill provides up to 45 days of freshness. Using the two consecutively gives up to 90 days of combined supply. Replace the refill in the holder as needed rather than assuming every space will have the same noticeable scent strength.
Can I use it with unscented garbage bags?
Yes. The system is compatible with scented and unscented trash bags. Install the refill in its holder at a suitable dry location in the bin; you can continue using your usual bags while the refill supplies Gain Original fragrance.
Where should the holder be mounted?
Choose a flat, clean, dry surface under the lid, on the side of the trash can, or inside a cabinet. Avoid places where it will get wet. Check the holder remains securely attached when changing refills or garbage bags.
