About this product
One 50-square-foot roll of multipurpose sealing wrap
Glad Press'N Seal is a clear plastic food wrap supplied as one 50-square-foot roll, with 4.64 square meters also marked on the box. The roll measures 17 yards long by 11.8 inches wide, or 15.5 meters by 30 centimeters. Choose this format for covering food, wrapping individual portions or making a custom-shaped storage wrap. The 50-square-foot quantity describes area rather than the roll's linear length.
Pressure activates the Griptex seal
Griptex technology activates when you apply pressure to the wrap. Press it onto the dry surface you want to cover and work around the edge to form the seal. The wrap is designed to create an airtight, leakproof closure for food storage. Its pressure-activated design lets you shape the covering around a container or the portion being wrapped, rather than relying only on a particular bowl shape.
Seals to several surfaces and to itself
Press'N Seal works with dry surfaces including plastic, wood, paper, metal, glass and ceramic. It also seals to itself, allowing you to create custom bags or individual wraps. Choose enough material to cover the item and provide a sealing area around it. That flexibility suits differently shaped containers and portions, so you can use the same roll for more than one food-storage format.
Portion leftovers, sandwiches and snacks
Use the wrap for leftover food, sandwiches and snacks, or for preparing individual portions for freezing. You can cover a bowl, wrap a portion on its own or make a custom-shaped bag by sealing the material to itself. Choose the amount according to the food and the sealing area needed. Keep the storage method appropriate to the food rather than assigning one storage duration to everything you wrap.
Multipurpose use beyond food storage
The sealing wrap can also cover household items during crafting or protect items such as paint brushes. Its ability to seal to different dry surfaces helps you adapt the covering to the object. Keep food preparation and non-food projects separate when working from the roll, and select a clean length for each new task. The material is polyethylene plastic and is formulated without BPA.
Handle the cutting edge carefully
Pull out the length needed for the task and cut it using the dispenser, avoiding contact with the cutting edge. Keep the box available for the handling instructions while using the roll. This Press'N Seal wrap is made in the USA of global components. When comparing replacement rolls, check the specific Press'N Seal identity, 50-square-foot area and 11.8-inch width together so you match the amount and format intended.

About this product
Exact roll identity
Glad Press'N Seal Multipurpose Sealing Food Wrap is the 100 sq ft Roll offer. It is a single-count product, made of polyethylene, and clear. The product line is Press'n Seal. These are the details to match when selecting this roll: the Glad Press'N Seal name, one roll, the stated 100 sq ft size, clear appearance, and polyethylene material. Keeping those attributes together helps distinguish this offer from other Glad wraps, differently sized rolls, and products sold in other formats. The result is a clearly defined choice for shoppers who want the specific Press'N Seal roll rather than a different wrap configuration.
Griptex sealing action
Griptex technology is the defining feature. Pressure activates the wrap so it seals to itself, and a quick press and glide creates the stated leak proof, airtight seal. In practical use, apply pressure across the area you want covered, then continue the press-and-glide motion so the material can grip. The wrap is simple to use and easy to handle, making the roll relevant when you want a sealing layer rather than a loose cover. The seal protects food against leaks or spills. This combination of pressure activation and self-sealing action is the key selection point for covered food and other protected items.
Surfaces and food storage
This wrap seals tightly onto a variety of dry surfaces, including paper, plastic, metal, wood, and glass. That range supports common storage situations such as covering a container, protecting a surface, or joining the wrap to itself. It is intended for storing and protecting leftovers, and the food-storage use is paired with the leak proof and airtight sealing claim. Because the surface range includes dry surfaces, select a clean, dry contact area when you want the wrap to grip as described. The variety of listed surfaces also makes it a practical choice when one roll must serve several storage setups.
Custom bags and portions
Press'N Seal can be shaped into custom food-storage bags, and it can be used to freeze food or make individual portions. It also creates airtight custom bags and lids and stacks better than aluminum foil. Those features make the roll useful beyond a flat cover: shape it around the portion or item, press the material so it seals to itself, and use the resulting form for the stated food-storage applications. The clear color also makes the selected roll easy to identify in a drawer or pantry. Consider this format when flexible shapes, individual servings, or a purpose-built lid are more useful than a simple flat sheet.
Around-the-house use and handling
The wrap is multipurpose beyond food storage. It can be used around the house or at work to keep things clean and protected, including wrapping items from popcorn to paint brushes. For handling, follow the quick press-and-glide approach and take note of the package warning to avoid contact with the cutting edge. Choose this one-roll offer when a clear polyethylene wrap, a 100 sq ft roll, Griptex self-sealing action, and the ability to cover or form custom shapes fit the job. That combination covers everyday food storage as well as the listed non-food protection uses.

About this product
A one-hundred-forty-square-foot sealing wrap roll
Glad Press’N Seal provides one clear roll with one hundred forty square feet of multipurpose food wrap. The box lists a roll length of 47.4 yards and a width of 11.8 inches. Use the width and required piece length when planning covers for dishes or individually wrapped portions. The clear film keeps the contents visible after a container or food item has been covered.
Press the gripping texture onto clean, dry surfaces
The Griptex texture activates under pressure, allowing the wrap to seal around a clean, dry container rim. Pull out a piece, separate it using the carton’s cutting edge and press along the rim of the item being covered. Keeping the sealing area dry is part of the application method. Avoid contact with the cutting edge while dispensing and arranging the piece.
Cover different containers or create a custom pouch
Press’N Seal is described for surfaces including plastic, paper, wood, metal, glass and ceramic, and it also seals to itself. That self-sealing feature can be used to make custom pouches for individual food portions or freezer preparation. Choose the piece size and sealing area around the food, following its storage directions and checking the closure before moving the prepared package.
Observe the microwave gap and venting instructions
When using the wrap in a microwave, leave at least one inch between the food and film, then turn back one corner to vent excess steam. Foods high in fat or sugar must not contact the wrap during microwaving, because melting can result. Use the current package instructions alongside the appliance and food directions when deciding how to cover a dish for reheating.
Keep the wrap within its intended uses
The wrap is formulated without BPA and can be used for covering, portioning and freezer food storage as directed. It must not be used in conventional or convection ovens, on stovetops, in toaster ovens or with browning units. Keep the film away from babies and children because of the suffocation or choking hazard. Store the carton where its cutting edge and remaining film can be handled appropriately.

Questions about this product
Is one hundred forty square feet the roll length?
It is the total area of wrap. The box lists the dimensions as 47.4 yards long by 11.8 inches wide. This selection contains one clear Press’N Seal roll. Check the width and the size of the item being covered when deciding how much film to dispense.
How does the wrap seal to a container?
Its gripping texture activates when pressed onto a clean, dry surface. Pull and cut a piece, place it over the item and press along the dry rim. Avoid the carton’s cutting edge while dispensing. Choose enough film for the sealing area and check the closure before moving the container.
Can it seal to itself for individual portions?
Yes. Press’N Seal seals to itself, allowing custom pouches for individual portions or freezer preparation. It is also described for dry surfaces such as plastic, paper, wood, metal, glass and ceramic. Match the package and sealing area to the food, following that food’s storage directions.
What should I do before microwaving a covered dish?
Leave at least one inch between the film and food and turn back one corner to vent steam. Do not let fatty or sugary foods contact the wrap during microwaving, since melting can result. Follow the current package, appliance and food instructions when preparing the covered dish.
Can Press’N Seal be used in an oven or on a stovetop?
No. It is not for conventional or convection ovens, stovetops, toaster ovens or browning units. Keep it away from babies and children, and avoid contact with the cutting edge. Use the separate microwave instructions only when that application is appropriate to the food and appliance.
