The Hamilton Beach 1 liter stainless steel electric kettle offers a compact alternative when your usual task is a cup of tea or a small round of hot drinks. Its 1500 watt heating system heats water in the kettle on a powered base. A water-level window helps you check the quantity before switching it on, while the illuminated on/off switch shows operation. The concealed element sits beneath the kettle floor. Use the appliance to heat water, then pour that water into a separate cup or bowl for tea, coffee, cocoa or instant food rather than adding those ingredients inside the kettle.
Fill, boil and lift off the base
Open the push-button lid and add water within the marked minimum and maximum levels. Do not exceed the 1 liter maximum: overfilling can cause boiling water to escape from the spout. Close the lid, place the kettle securely on its own base and use the switch to start heating. Automatic shutoff ends the boil, and boil-dry protection provides a backup if the kettle is accidentally run without enough water. You should still avoid running it empty. The kettle lifts from the base for cord-free serving; the base remains connected to power. Keep hold of the handle and allow for steam and hot surfaces when pouring.

How much water does this kettle hold?
It holds up to 1 liter. Use the window and the marked fill levels rather than estimating by the outside height. Stay above the minimum and below the maximum before heating. If you normally make several large mugs at once, compare their combined volume with the kettle's capacity.
Does the kettle run without electricity?
It needs electricity through its supplied base to heat water. Cord-free serving means you lift the kettle away from that base to pour. It does not describe battery-powered heating. Use only the base supplied for the kettle and keep the power connection dry.
Can I make tea directly inside it?
The manufacturer specifies water heating only. Place tea, coffee or food in a separate cup or container, then add the hot water. Keep the kettle's interior free of other liquids and ingredients, and follow the manual before cleaning or removing any parts.
What does the mesh filter do?
The removable filter helps keep suspended mineral-scale particles from being poured into your cup. It is not a water-purification system. Rinse it periodically according to the instructions after the kettle has cooled, and clean scale from the kettle itself when needed.
Will it switch off automatically?
Yes. It has automatic shutoff and boil-dry protection. Still fill it correctly, close the lid during heating and avoid intentionally operating it empty. Metal parts, steam and the water can remain hot after shutoff, so keep using the handle and take care while serving.
How should I clean mineral deposits?
Follow the model's manual, which gives a cream-of-tartar cleaning method followed by cooling and fresh-water rinses. Emptying the kettle after each use helps limit buildup. Do not use abrasive pads or powders on the finish, and unplug and cool the appliance before routine cleaning.
