Questions about this product

What does a laundry sanitizer actually do?

It is an antibacterial additive that works at low wash temperatures, where a normal detergent cleans but does not sanitize. It is bought for gym kit, baby clothes, towels, bedding after illness, and anything washed cold.

How much do I use?

Two capfuls to line 1 of the dosing cup for a standard machine. Do not free-pour; the cup lines exist because the dose changes with machine type.

Where does it go in the machine?

Into the rinse cycle, not the wash. Adding it with detergent neutralizes it, because detergent surfactants interfere with the sanitizing agent. In a machine with a softener dispenser, use that compartment.

Is it a replacement for detergent?

No. It does not clean. It is an additive used alongside detergent for its antibacterial action.

Does it work in cold water?

Yes, and that is the whole point of it. It is designed to sanitize at low temperatures where hot washing is not an option for the fabric.

Is it bleach?

No. It is a quaternary-type antibacterial rather than chlorine bleach, so it is safe on colors and will not lighten fabric.

Does it help with odor?

Yes, it carries an odor eliminating rating. Odor in fabric is usually bacterial, which is what it acts on, rather than masked with fragrance.

What scent is it?

Crisp Linen, in the fresh family, which rinses light rather than lingering.

Can I use it in a front loader?

Yes, through the softener dispenser at the stated dose.

How does the 90 oz compare with the 41?

Same product. The 90 oz is cheaper per dose and heavier to handle.

What is the UPC?

019200958721.
