O-Cedar PowerCorner One Sweep Large Broom with Step-On Dustpan

This review gets five brooms and dustpans instead of stars. This set helped me get a handle on my dirt and left everything looking great. Friendly handle, attention-to-detail bristles, and a "results that speak for themselves" dustpan. Gladly recommend to anyone, especially if you have pets!

O-Cedar Power Corner Multi Surface Angle Broom With Dust Pan arrived packaged nicely in a large light box. Immediately pleasantly surprised by look and durability. Purchased angled brooms before but this has a much steeper angle, perfect for reaching under the fridge ridge, edges around the litter box, even a bit under stove and washer/dryer edges. Dustpan equally nice and functions well. Handle connects well to broom handle. Rubber tip of dustpan is just enough rubber to bend and mold to the floor without being so grippy that hair and dust stick to it. Both lightweight and simple to maneuver without much effort. Although red wouldn't be my first choice for anything kitchen-related, durability and styling outweigh the color. Do like the grey and black bristles, both function differently to pull and capture dirt. Broom hangs nicely on the plastic hook I have in the basement from an old broom. Didn't have to change hook size even though this is considered a large angle broom. Largest part is the nice angle of the bristles. Chosen for indoor use but tempted to purchase one for outdoors too, angle would be great for cobwebs in hard-to-reach garage corners or small porch crevices full of leaves and dirt. Overall a great addition to cleaning routine in kitchen and basement.

Most of us don't think much about which broom to buy. In the past I always just chose whatever was on the rack, not really thinking about differences (I mean a broom is a broom, right?). Have to say I've been re-educated with this one. Really does clean better than a standard broom. First thing I noticed: the angle really gets further into corners under cabinet and stove edges. Nicely balanced so you can sweep longer before getting tired. Another feature: little handle close to the head that makes it work like a whisk broom when sweeping dirt into the dustpan.
Dustpan is also quite nice, actually fits the broom. Clips on and doesn't slide down the handle like some I've had. Also has a place on the back that acts like a scraper for the broom and helps pull out those little dust bunnies that always get caught in the bristles, without using your fingers.

Broom angle did a great job getting into corners. Bristle design also got into grout lines and tile grooves. Surprised at the amount of dirt and dust I got from a “clean” floor. Handle securely attached to the head, tried to unscrew/remove it and it's on securely, so no issues with the head turning while I swept. Dustpan is large. Has a rubber gasket that makes a semi-seal to the floor and made sweeping dirt in easier. Gasket appears securely attached. Dustpan handle snaps onto broom handle for storage and is same shape as broom head. Like storing dustpan with broom. Would have preferred dustpan extend below bristles so I could prop broom on dustpan not bristles when stored. Top of handle has a loop to hang if needed. No safety issues. Overall happy with performance.

Our kitchen, family room, dining room, powder room, and hallway flooring is 19-inch Italian tile. Numerous corners and nooks. O-Cedar Power Corner Multi Surface Angle Broom with Dust Pan has proven very useful for debris and dust on these surfaces. Texture and shape of bristles make sweeping easy and efficient. Handle length nice and long, easy to use. Bristle shape lets us get a clean sweep in corners and toe-kick areas under kitchen cabinets. Also works well on open areas. Liked dustpan design, soft plastic lip on the leading edge makes it easy to sweep dust and debris in without leaving anything on the floor. For storage dustpan snaps onto broom handle, very nice feature. Ecologist's pride and joy: manufacturer claims bristles are 100% from recycled plastic bottles. Easily cleaned, take broom and dustpan outside, spray with hose, shake broom, wipe hard surfaces and handle with a cloth, air dry, done.

Fully recommend this great broom and dustpan. Works well.
