Long life

Used an Excalibur 9-tray dehydrator for years drying almonds and pecans after soaking in salt water-thousands of pounds. On my second unit; replaced a motor in the first. Sometimes they run almost nonstop for a week or two. Like the plastic tray that lets me roll up the edges to dump into a bucket.

Does the stainless screen fold in the middle so I could do the same, or is it rigid both ways?

Thank you

Very happy I bought this to go with my Excalibur.

Love these trays

A friend let me try hers and I like them better than plastic for a lot of things. For flax crackers and other raw crackers I still prefer plastic, but for kale chips stainless is the way. Bought the 9-pack and couldn't be happier with the quality. Worth the price!

Great trays

I have the plastic trays that came with my dehydrator, but worried when I read meats need a higher temp to be safe. Metal conducts heat better than plastic, and I can put metal trays in the oven if needed-no-brainer. Bought them and I'm happy. Fit my dehydrator perfectly and they're hot coming out. Tough on the budget, but I feel much more confident about my jerky. Love my Excalibur-would get another. I only use mine for dog jerky for ours and for family, friends, and neighbors. Dogs love it, and I'm glad to give back to our four-legged friends.
