About this product
Pine-Sol Original concentrated liquid multi-surface cleaner. This option contains 1 bottle × 20 fl oz.
Original Pine-Sol floor and multi-surface cleaner, 20 fluid ounces
Pine-Sol Multi-Surface Floor Cleaner in Original provides one 20-fluid-ounce bottle of concentrate with the classic fresh pine scent. The ingredient label names citric acid at 1.75% as the active ingredient. UPC 041294601498 identifies this size and version. Choose Original for the stated cleaning, deodorizing, and labeled hard-surface disinfecting applications, using the measurement and contact time specified for the purpose of the household cleaning task.
Everyday cleaning and deodorizing dilution
For cleaning and deodorizing, mix 1/8 cup of Original Pine-Sol per gallon of water. Mop, wipe, or spray with that solution according to the label. The concentrate is designed to tackle dirt, grease, and grime on suitable surfaces. For tough cleaning jobs, the directions permit full-strength use with immediate rinsing. Select the appropriate cleaning method for the material and follow its care guidance together with the product instructions before beginning the task.
The separate disinfecting dilution
For disinfection, use Original Pine-Sol full strength or mix 1 cup per half gallon of water. Apply to suitable hard, nonporous surfaces with a clean sponge or cloth. Pre-clean visibly soiled surfaces first. The treated surface must remain visibly wet for 10 minutes, then be rinsed with water. Prepare fresh solutions daily as directed. Use this labeled disinfecting method and contact time when the intended purpose is disinfection.
Qualified germ claim and hard-surface use
The stated disinfecting claim is to kill 99.9% of label-listed germs on hard, nonporous surfaces when used as directed. Named organisms include Salmonella enterica, Staphylococcus aureus, and Influenza A virus. Follow the complete instructions for that purpose, including the disinfecting concentration, pre-cleaning requirement, wet-contact period, and final rinse. The everyday cleaning method serves its own cleaning and deodorizing purpose, with its separate 1/8-cup-per-gallon measurement for suitable household tasks.
Material compatibility and actual exclusions
Stated applications include suitable wood, tile, stone, porcelain, and glass surfaces, with the complete label determining the intended use. Do not use on marble, aluminum, or copper, or on wood that is unfinished, unsealed, unpainted, waxed, oiled, or worn. Check the material and finish before selecting a floor, counter, bathroom, or appliance-cleaning task. For permitted wood surfaces, follow the surface manufacturer’s care guidance together with the full Pine-Sol directions.
Measure for the task and prepare fresh solution
The 20-fluid-ounce amount describes the concentrate supply; actual replacement depends on the dilution and amount used. Prepare only the solution appropriate to the intended cleaning task and follow the direction to mix fresh solutions daily. For routine cleaning, use the stated gallon measurement. For disinfection, use full strength or the separate half-gallon measurement and complete wet-contact process. Retain the original labeled bottle for ingredient information, application directions, precautions, and material limitations.

As far as I'm concerned, a house isn't clean unless it's Pine-Sol clean.

Anything pine is worth the money, especially when it has REAL PINE OIL in the ingredients. Pine has a smell all its own, and it really cleans. The military uses it for all their cleaning jobs, especially floors. The barracks and offices all have pine-cleaned floors, and they use it 100% undiluted and crazy strong!! It's the first thing you smell every morning, even in the bathrooms. This is the closest product to what they use, and even this brand has gotten milder over the years. Back in the 80s it was stronger than it is now. It used to turn the water white the second you mixed it, and it doesn't anymore. They've added too many other scents, but it still cleans well and is as good as it gets for pine oil cleaners.

We're really let down that the new formula swaps glycolic acid for citric acid. There's also NO pine oil, even in the Pro formula. This new knockoff version doesn't clean the same or smell the same, since it's now a perfume instead of natural pine oil...

I love how it freshens and cleans whatever you use it on. I use it on toilets, things in the bathroom, and sometimes the floors.

About this product
Pine-Sol Original concentrated liquid multi-surface cleaner. This option contains 1 bottle × 40 fl oz.
Original Pine cleaner for compatible household surfaces
Pine-Sol Multi-Surface Cleaner in Original Pine scent supplies one 40-fluid-ounce bottle of concentrated liquid cleaner. Choose it for directed cleaning of household dirt, grease and grime on compatible hard surfaces, checking the material and finish first. The bottle gives separate cleaning and disinfect procedures with different concentrations. Select the procedure for the intended task and follow all surface, wet-contact-time and rinse requirements.
Use the regular dilution for cleaning and deodorizing
For routine cleaning and deodorizing, mix 1/8 cup per gallon of water, then mop, wipe or spray the solution as directed. For tough jobs, the label permits full-strength use followed by an immediate rinse. Check the item’s care instructions before selecting either method. Measuring the stated dose and water amount keeps the application aligned with the selected cleaning procedure on the current bottle.
Follow the stronger procedure to disinfect
To disinfect, preclean visibly soiled surfaces. Use the cleaner full strength or mix one cup per half gallon of water, then apply with a clean sponge or cloth to permitted hard, nonporous surfaces. Keep the surface visibly wet for ten minutes, then rinse. Prepare fresh solutions daily. The weaker routine-cleaning dilution is a separate procedure and should not replace the stated disinfect concentration and wet contact time.
Check material and finish restrictions
Do not use on marble, aluminum or copper. The label also excludes wood that is unfinished, unsealed, unpainted, waxed, oiled or worn. Test painted surfaces in a small area first. Check both the bottle and the surface manufacturer’s care instructions before treating a floor, counter or fixture. A multi-surface designation still requires selecting the cleaner around the actual material and its finish.
Use eye protection and observe the mixing warning
The label warns of substantial but temporary eye injury. Avoid contact with eyes or clothing, wear protective eyewear such as safety glasses, and wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Do not mix with bleach or other household cleaners. Keep it away from children, store in a cool, dry place and follow the complete precautions. The bottle is nonrefillable; do not reuse or refill it.
