Directions
Start by measuring your laundry load size - Small, Medium, or Large. For optimal results, use 1 Pod for Small/Medium loads, 2 Pods for Large/X-Large load, and 3 Pods for XX-Large loads. How many pods are in the bag and how many loads is that?
A 14 count bag, which is 14 loads at one pod per load. Net weight is 10 ounces. The detergent is supplied as sealed packs rather than a liquid, so there is nothing to measure or pour.
How many pods should I use per load?
The manufacturer's dosing runs in three tiers: 1 pod for small and medium loads, 2 pods for large and extra large, and 3 pods for XX-large. Size the load first, because dosing by habit rather than by load size is the most common way to waste them. Measure the load, add the pods to the empty drum, then add the laundry and start the cycle.
Where does the pod go?
Into the empty drum first, before the clothes. Not in the dispenser drawer, where it will not dissolve properly and can leave residue.
What does 3-in-1 mean?
Detergent, stain remover, and odor fighter in one pod, so no separate pretreat or booster is needed for everyday loads. Stain removal is a rated feature rather than a marketing line.
Do they work in cold water?
Yes. The film is designed to dissolve across normal wash temperatures. If you wash cold, put the pod in the drum first and let the water reach it directly rather than dropping it on top of a full load.
Are they safe for HE machines?
Yes. Pods are measured for a single load and are low sudsing, which suits front loaders and HE top loaders.
What scent is it?
Original, in the fresh family, the long-running version of the scent. This is the long-running Tide scent rather than a seasonal or reformulated variant.
Are they suitable for sensitive skin?
They are rated for all skin types. They are not a free and clear product, so if fragrance specifically is the issue, the free and gentle line is the better choice.
How should I store them?
Sealed, dry, and out of reach of children. The bag has a child resistant closure and it should be latched after every use. Humidity makes pods stick together and the film start to soften, so a cupboard is better than a laundry room shelf above the machine.
Can I cut a pod in half for a small load?
No. The film is designed to release everything at once and a split pod makes a mess without halving the dose. For genuinely small loads, use a liquid detergent you can measure.
