Perfect in-between size

OMG. Where have these been all these years. These bags are perfect for items between quart and gallon size, and they have a gusset to make filling easier. They're now a permanent addition to my Ziploc stock at home.

Half gallon freezer bags. About time.

Half gallon freezer bags. About time. These are the bomb. It's sad to waste a gallon bag for marinating or freezing a few more items that won't fit in a quart bag. But these are great, and they're pleated on the bottom.

Only recently discovered the half-gallon size, and it's now the one I use most for storing homemade freezer meals, especially pre-frozen sized portions.

Great size for baked goods

These half gallon Ziploc freezer bags were initially purchased by mistake. Rather than returning them, they sat in the pantry awhile until I rediscovered them when I needed a freezer bag for a 1 pound loaf of bread I had baked. Since I always bake two one-pound loaves at a time, one is for the week and the other goes into the freezer. Turns out these bags fit one loaf perfectly. They also work well for quick breads and a half loaf of my round rustic breads.
