About this product

Free & Clear Powerwash starter, sixteen fluid ounces

Dawn Powerwash Free & Clear Dish Spray comes as one sixteen-fluid-ounce starter kit with a reusable sprayer. The manufacturer identifies the fragrance as Light Pear, and fragrance appears in the ingredient information. Match Free & Clear, the Powerwash name, the starter format, and sixteen-fluid-ounce supply when choosing this bottle. UPC 037000657323 identifies this version. The direct-spray format applies suds to suitable dishes before wiping and rinsing, with the same reusable head retained when a compatible refill replaces the liquid supply.

Light Pear scent and grease-cleaning features

Light Pear is the named fragrance for this Free & Clear product. Consider that scent alongside the formula and spray format when selecting a dish soap around fragrance preferences. Dawn describes five-times-faster grease cleaning compared with Dawn Non-Concentrated. Keep the named comparator with that claim when considering the product’s cleaning role. Selected ingredient information includes water, alcohol denatured, lauryl glucoside, and fragrance among other formula components. Retain the full labeled information for any specific ingredient preferences.

Apply without soaking, then wipe and rinse

Scrape excess food from dishes and do not soak them in water first. Fully squeeze the trigger and spray directly for continuous coverage. For lightly soiled dishes, wipe and rinse with water. For heavier food soils, allow the suds to sit for a few minutes before wiping and rinsing. Check each item’s care requirements and use a suitable sponge or cloth. No added water is needed until the rinsing stage, which remains part of the directed dishwashing routine.

Keep the sprayer for a compatible refill

Turn the spray head counterclockwise to release it from an empty bottle. Remove the disposable cap from a compatible Powerwash refill and attach the reusable head clockwise as directed. Confirm that the dip tube inside points in the same direction as the sprayer. Dawn’s refill guide notes that three to five full-range trigger pulls may be needed to prime it. Follow the original bottle and refill instructions when transferring the head so the spray format remains available with the replacement liquid.

Check household surfaces before cleaning

For compatible uses beyond dishes, test an inconspicuous area and follow the material-care guide. Dawn’s Powerwash surface guidance excludes marble, painted or coated surfaces, precious metals, leather, and other listed finishes. Provide ventilation and do not mix with other detergents or cleaning products. Follow the bottle and surface instructions for the specific cleaning job. The sixteen-fluid-ounce amount describes the supply; how many cleaning sessions it provides depends on the amount sprayed and the items being washed. Keep all labeled precautions available.

Amazing all purpose cleaner

A great product without needless dyes or extras like heavy perfume, which matters if you have allergies or chemical sensitivities. It's nearly unscented and clear.
It cleans exceptionally well and is useful for much more than dishes. It makes metal like stainless steel sparkle.
Since it comes out as foam when you squeeze the trigger, you can use it to gently clean lots of things, and you never have to flip the bottle over. It's a really versatile product in a sleek container that stands out from the competition, and it can take the place of other, less advanced products. The formula almost seems magical.
The price is also very fair for what you get.

Does a great job.

Lives up to the name

This stuff is fantastic and has cleaned everything I've used it on. Power wash is the perfect name for it.

Cleans well, but read your pan's care label

I prefer this over the blue version. The peach scent is really faint, and I like that it isn't dyed blue. The nozzle is easy to turn on and lock when I'm done. It cleans just as well as the blue one.

A warning about Dawn and nonstick pans: some pans say specifically not to use Dawn. It's the only thing I've found that gets my pans clean, but after using it, several of mine started sticking even though the coating still looked fine. I've ruined more than $1,000 in coated pans this way. Check the care instructions on your pans first. Uncoated stainless steel has generally been fine for me.

We always buy this!

I always have one under the sink and one in my cleaning caddy. I use it for lots of things around the house: stains on clothes, dishes, shower soap scum, my husband's greasy hands, and more.

Just saying
Wish the bottle came in other looks

I love this product, BUT I'd really like more packaging options. My kitchen is all neutrals and I keep this on the counter, so I'd take anything other than bright blue and red.

I love this Dawn Powerwash. It helps lift stains on all kinds of things, like laundry and kitchen surfaces.

Bad in a lot of ways

This is the worst packaging I've ever dealt with. It shows ZERO consideration for small hands, older hands, disabled hands, hands missing fingers, and so on.
The trigger is too small and set at too sharp an angle to get any grip at all, and if your hands are wet, good luck.
As for the soap itself, I feel like I'm using three times as much as the foaming pump I've used for years, which seems to be getting phased out. It's thin, barely foams, and doesn't work as well as other Dawn products...
I won't recommend it and I won't buy it again.

Works just as well

My husband doesn't care for the pear scent, so I knocked off a star for anyone who'd rather have a more classic clean smell. It works exactly like the regular Powerwash, but I like that it doesn't have added dyes. I use it on everything! It really cuts the grease on baked-on bakeware.
