About this product
S.O.S Steel Wool Soap Pads, 18 count
This S.O.S option supplies 18 blue steel wool soap pads for tough cleaning jobs on suitable surfaces. UPC 016500980216 identifies the count and product. The pads combine durable steel wool with soap to work on baked-on food, grease, grime, rust, and stains. Choose this pack when you want individual soap-saturated scouring pads, with the surface-testing and after-use care instructions available for each pad as it enters your cleaning routine.
Named cookware and household cleaning applications
The product information names ovens, broilers, cookie sheets, pots, pans, and grills among its applications. It identifies aluminum, iron, and stainless steel pots and pans as cookware examples. Check the actual item’s cleaning requirements before choosing steel wool, including any restrictions for coatings, decorative finishes, or abrasive tools. The product directs a light test on delicate surfaces, so keep that step with the instructions for the specific item being cleaned.
Wet the pad, clean and rinse with clear water
Wet an S.O.S pad with water and use it to clean the soiled surface. Rinse the area clean with clear water. The manufacturer notes that gloves may reduce skin abrasion. For delicate surfaces, first test by lightly using the pad on a small, inconspicuous area. Follow the original directions and the item’s care requirements during cleaning, including the choice of an appropriate scouring tool for its finish.
Rinse dirt away, squeeze gently and store on a dry surface
After use, the manufacturer directs either discarding the pad in the trash or rinsing it with water to remove dirt particles. For reuse, gently squeeze out excess moisture and store it on a clean, dry surface. Keep the rinsing, gentle squeezing, and clean dry storage stages together after the task. The product information identifies rust inhibitors among the soap’s components, with the same after-use care directions remaining applicable.
Soap ingredients include fragrance
The exact-product manufacturer declaration names sodium tallowate, water, glycerin, sodium carbonate, sodium C10-16 alkylbenzenesulfonate, cocamide MEA, sodium nitrite, and C16-18 unsaturated fatty acids among the ingredients. It also names Pigment Blue 15, sodium metasilicate, fragrance, d-limonene, and myrcene among the remaining declared components. Consult the full original information for personal ingredient choices. These are examples from the manufacturer’s declaration for the 18-count product.
Retain the warnings with the remaining pads
The package information warns that soap contacting the eyes may cause mild irritation and redness. Follow the complete original eye-contact, skin-contact, and ingestion directions. Keep the labeled package available so the count, soap ingredients, full precautions, and reuse method stay with the supply. Match S.O.S Steel Wool Soap Pads and 18 count when choosing this same pack again, including its light-test instruction for delicate surfaces and gentle after-use handling.

Great for cleaning most things. Typically try to get the smaller ones because the built-in detergent washes out extremely fast and these tend to rust after a few days. Still a must-have for stainless steel and glass cookware.

SOS pads are essential. Great lather, very durable steel wool, so convenient. After scrubbing pots and pans I still use the pad on the sink, then sanitize with spray. Use them for car tire rims, tools, kitchen pans, etc. Off brands don't have the same sudsing and durability.

This product has been around all my life. Probably not as popular as it once was, but it does a great job cleaning a charred pan. Also cleans more thoroughly than plastic scrubbers. Classic cleaning for well over 50 years, how can you mess with that?

About this product
S.O.S steel wool soap pads, ten count
This S.O.S package contains ten blue steel wool soap pads. The pads combine steel wool scrubbing material with soap already incorporated for cleaning tough, greasy, and baked-on messes. Choose this format when you need a soap-filled scouring pad for suitable cookware or household cleaning tasks. UPC 016500980322 identifies the ten-count package. Keep the original use and surface-care directions available with the remaining pads.
Baked-on food, grease, rust and stains
The product information names ovens, broilers, cookie sheets, pots, and pans among its cleaning applications. It also identifies stoves, shower doors, grills, and golf clubs as other tasks, with grease, rust, and stains among the soils addressed. Check the item manufacturer’s instructions before using steel wool on its material, coating, or finish. Select the pad only where that kind of scouring is appropriate for the specific surface.
Wet the pad, clean, and rinse with clear water
The manufacturer directs wetting an S.O.S pad with water and using it to clean the soiled surface. After scouring, rinse the area clean with clear water. Keep that final rinse as part of the cleaning method so loosened soil and soap are removed from the item. Follow the item’s own care requirements for handling and drying after cleaning, including any directions specific to cookware or removable oven parts.
Gloves and a light test on delicate surfaces
The instructions say gloves may reduce skin abrasion. For delicate surfaces, first lightly use the pad on a small, inconspicuous area, as directed. Follow the surface manufacturer’s restrictions before testing or cleaning more broadly. Consider the coating and finish as well as the underlying material when choosing a tool. Use the pad according to its directions while keeping the complete original precautions with the package.
Rinse, gently squeeze and store on a dry surface
After use, the directions allow either discarding the pad in the trash or rinsing it with water to remove dirt particles. For reuse, gently squeeze out excess moisture and store it on a clean, dry surface. Follow that care sequence after the cleaning task. The product is described as reusable, and the soap composition includes rust inhibitors. Maintain the stated rinsing and storage care when putting a used pad aside.
Soap ingredients and fragrance information
The manufacturer’s ingredient information names sodium tallowate, water, glycerin, sodium carbonate, sodium C10-16 alkylbenzenesulfonate, cocamide MEA, and sodium nitrite among the ingredients. It also identifies fragrance, d-limonene, and Pigment Blue 15. These are examples from the declaration; consult the full original information for ingredient decisions. Retain the S.O.S identity and ten-count format when replacing your supply of these soap-filled steel wool pads.
