OxiClean Odor Blasters Versatile Odor and Stain Remover Powder is an oxygen-based, chlorine-free laundry booster and multi-surface cleaner in a 3 lb container. Use as a presoak or add to the wash with detergent to help remove set-in stains and stubborn odors from machine-washable clothing, towels, workout gear, shoes and pet bedding. It is labeled safe for HE and standard machines.
Mix with water per label directions to treat fabrics or to clean hard surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom. Formula is scented and color-safe; follow label warnings and handling instructions.

What form is it and is it scented?

What does it do that detergent does not?
It targets odor embedded in fabric rather than visible staining. Sweat, mildew, pet accidents, and gym clothing that smells clean dry and sour once warm are what it is bought for. It is a booster used alongside detergent, not a replacement.
How do I use it in a wash?
Add a scoop to the drum with the detergent. For set-in odor, dissolve a scoop in warm water and soak the item first. Soaking is what makes the difference on anything that has been washed repeatedly and still smells.
Will it work in cold water?
Poorly. The oxygen release that does the work is temperature dependent, and warm or hot water is what activates it. This is the single most common reason people report no effect.
Can I use it beyond laundry?
Yes, it is rated multi-surface. Dissolved in warm water it is used on carpet, upholstery, and hard surfaces. Test somewhere hidden first and blot rather than rub on soft furnishings.
Is it color safe?
It is oxygen based rather than chlorine bleach, so it is far gentler on color. Test anything dark or delicate, and keep it off wool, silk, and leather.
Does it contain bleach?
Not chlorine bleach. It works through oxygen release in water.

How should I store it?
