OxiClean Free Versatile Stain Remover Powder is an oxygen-based, chlorine-free laundry and household cleaner in a 3 lb tub. It is dye-free and perfume-free and is formulated for machine-washable clothes plus spot and surface cleaning when mixed with water per label directions.
Use as a laundry booster in HE or standard machines, or dissolve to make a cleaning solution for carpets, upholstery, hard surfaces and more. Follow package soaking and wash instructions for best results.

Directions
In Wash: Top Loader: Fill washer with water. Add OxiClean and detergent before adding laundry. Fill to bottom of Line 1 for regular loads, or more for large or heavily soiled loads. HE Washer: Add OxiClean to washer BEFORE adding laundry. Fill to bottom of line 1 for regular loads or line 2 for large or heavily soiled loads. Do not mix OxiClean with detergent in the dispenser. Read your HE owner’s manual for instructions. Soaking Instructions: Mix: Fill scoop to line 2 to 4 per 1 gallon of water. Submerge stained items in solution after dissolved. Soak: 1-6 hours. Depending on severity of stains, some stains may require more time to soak. For best results soak for 6 hours. Wash: As normal with detergent and OxiClean.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. WARNING: Injurious to eyes. Harmful if swallowed. Contains sodium percarbonate and sodium carbonate. Avoid powder or solution contact with eyes and prolonged skin contact (wear gloves). EYE CONTACT: Flush with water for 15 minutes; seek medical attention immediately. IF SWALLOWED: Drink a glass of water; do not induce vomiting; seek medical attention immediately. SKIN CONTACT: Flush with water. Do not mix with products containing ammonia, chlorine bleach, or with other household chemicals. Do not store solutions for more than 6 hours, as pressure can build up and the container may rupture causing injury. Contains no phosphates.

It is the no dyes or perfumes formulation of the Versatile line. Same oxygen based chemistry, without the added color and fragrance.
Does it really have no smell?
No dye and no added perfume. A recurring note in the reviews is that a faint smell is still detectable, which is the raw material rather than a fragrance, and it does not carry through to dry laundry.
How do I dose it in a top loading washer?
Fill the washer with water, then add the powder and your detergent before the laundry goes in. Fill the scoop to the bottom of Line 1 for a regular load, more for a large or heavily soiled one.
How do I dose it in a high efficiency washer?
Add it to the drum before the laundry. Line 1 for a regular load, line 2 for large or heavily soiled. Do not mix it with detergent in the dispenser.
How do I soak with it?
Fill the scoop to between line 2 and line 4 per gallon of water, let it dissolve, then submerge the stained item. Soak 1 to 6 hours depending on severity, and the label puts best results at the full 6 hours. Wash as normal afterward.
Can I use it on carpet and upholstery?
Those are both rated surfaces, along with multi surface use around the house. Test a hidden patch first, work the solution in rather than flooding it, and blot dry so the stain does not wick back up from the padding.
Is it color safe?
It is oxygen based rather than chlorine bleach, so it is far gentler on color, and this version adds no dye of its own. Keep it off wool, silk, and leather.
Can I use it on food stains?
Yes, it carries a food use rating, and food is one of the categories reviewers name most, along with whites that have gone dull.
How is this different from the regular Versatile powder?
