Where the Garden Range Splits
Browse the garden collections by the job at hand. Growing covers planters, soil and mulch and seed starting. Supporting covers stakes and anchors and hand tools.
Watering is its own group.
Hoses and irrigation and reels sit together because they connect to each other physically, which is the only part of this department where compatibility between collections matters.
Building covers the rest. Greenhouses and fencing are one-off purchases measured in feet and inches rather than in bags and bottles.
Season Sets the Order, Not the Range
Nothing here is seasonal stock, but the order you buy in is. Beds and soil come before plants. Supports go in before the plant needs them rather than after it has fallen over. Irrigation is easiest to lay before a bed is full.
Most of the expensive mistakes in this department are ordering mistakes rather than product mistakes.
What Things Cost Here
The spread is wide enough that a single budget figure is useless. Consumables run cheap and structures run into the hundreds, so the department splits into two spending patterns rather than one.
| Collection | Listings | Median | Middle half |
|---|---|---|---|
| Soil & Mulch | 100 | $23 | $17 to $41 |
| Watering & Irrigation | 475 | $27 | $19 to $49 |
| Lawn Care | 490 | $33 | $23 to $58 |
| Garden Tools | 444 | $51 | $27 to $84 |
| Pots & Planters | 1,821 | $89 | $49 to $139 |
| Greenhouses | 212 | $110 | $78 to $193 |
| Garden Carts | 239 | $131 | $99 to $177 |
Material Runs Through Everything
Galvanised steel, powder-coated metal, cedar and resin appear across nearly every collection here, and the same material behaves the same way whatever it has been made into. Galvanised steel does not rot and does get hot. Cedar weathers to grey and lasts without treatment.
Resin is the cheap one.
It holds colour poorly in full sun and survives frost better than ceramic, which is why it dominates the lower price bands in planters while ceramic sits at the top.
Where the Catalogue Is Deepest
Browse pots and planters by material, size and drainage needs.
Lawn care at 490, watering at 475 and garden tools at 444 follow. Everything else is under 250 listings, and the structures at the top of the price table are the thinnest ranges of all.
