Works as intended

Honestly it works as it says on the box. You just peel off the cover and place it in an area the rat likes to hang out, and it will eat the pellets. It really just depends on how smart the rat is or how hungry it gets, but that is not the problem of d-CON. Cleanup is easy too. Once the little tray is empty, use a paper towel to pick it up and throw it in the trash. I also recommend using a paper towel to set the tray so you do not get any poison residue on your hands. Also make sure to wash your hands when handling it. It does not matter if you use a paper towel or not. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Live with woods behind me. Got two metal sheds. Wood rats started showing up. Attached a single container on a 1x4 board slid under the shed to make sure dogs cannot get to it. Three days later all gone. Putting out more till all rats are gone.

These were easy to use. However they make a huge mess because the mice pick them up, carry them, and shred them all over, leaving dust and residue carried up off the floor. So in my opinion, if you are going to use these inside I would not recommend them.

Anecdotal evidence that the rat is dead

When I heard a rat chewing on the inaccessible wiring under my park model home's floor I decided to act with five rat traps, a pack of this bait, and some peppermint oil. One of the two bait trays was enough to distribute around all access points. Of the five traps I set, only one had sprung with the peanut butter bait completely gone. Nothing caught or seen laying in the yard. I cannot be sure this bait got the rat, but ever since spreading the bait I have heard no gnawing after hearing it five nights in a row. It was waking me up and hard on the nerves, so I am considering this a success without absolute proof. Considering how much damage a rat can do, trying this bait along with traps and repellent is surely worth the small investment.

Best rat poison

This is the best to keep mice and rats out of your home. I always put some out before the first cold snap when they tend to try and come inside. We never have problems with mice or rats when we use d-CON. We live in the country next to woods and fields, and I have tried other products and nothing works as good as this.
