What is in the pack?

How do I apply it so it actually holds?
Three steps, and the first is the one people skip:
- Clean and dry the dentures. Adhesive applied to a wet plate will not bond, and this is the most common reason a hold fails.
- Apply the cream in thin lines rather than a thick bead. More adhesive does not mean more hold, and excess squeezes out onto the gum.
- Insert the dentures and hold them firmly in place for a few seconds.
Why does mine stop holding by the afternoon?
Usually too much cream, a damp plate at application, or a denture that no longer fits well. Adhesive is designed to improve the hold of a well-fitting denture, not to compensate for one that has loosened as the jaw has changed shape. If you are steadily using more to get the same result, that is a fitting question for a dentist.
Is it waterproof?
It carries a waterproof rating, so it holds through drinking and eating rather than washing out with the first hot drink.
Is it for upper or lower dentures?
It is rated for lower dentures, which are the harder of the two to hold because there is less surface area and the tongue works against them.
What is in it?
Calcium and zinc PVM/MA as the adhesive system, with mineral oil, petrolatum, cellulose gum, and silica. It also carries an antibacterial ingredient property and a Scope flavor for breath.
Is the zinc in it a concern?
It is worth understanding. The formula contains zinc, and the label is explicit that you should not use more than directed, because excessive and prolonged zinc intake has health consequences. Used as directed in thin lines, that is not an issue. Applying heavy amounts several times a day over a long period is the pattern to avoid, and it is another reason a denture that needs more and more adhesive should be looked at rather than compensated for.
How do I get it off the dentures at night?
Warm water and a denture brush, working the residue off before soaking. Removing it daily matters, because adhesive left to build up under the plate changes how it seats the next day.
Does it help with bad breath?
It carries a Scope flavor and is aimed at breath as a secondary benefit. Breath problems with dentures are usually about cleaning routine rather than adhesive.
