Questions about this product

How much is in the bottle?

41 fluid ounces, the smaller of the two sizes.

What is it for?

Sanitizing laundry at low wash temperatures. Detergent cleans; this adds antibacterial action for loads that cannot be washed hot.

When should I use it?

Gym and sports kit, baby clothes, towels, bedding after illness, pet bedding, and anything you wash cold that you would rather wash hot.

Where does it go?

The rinse cycle, through the fabric softener compartment. Not with the detergent, because detergent interferes with the sanitizing agent.

Is it bleach?

No. It is safe on colors and will not lighten fabric, which is why people use it where they cannot use bleach.

Does it soften or scent clothes?

It carries a Crisp Linen scent in the fresh family, but it is not a fabric softener and does not condition fiber.

Does it replace detergent?

No. It is an additive with no cleaning action of its own.

Who should buy the 41 oz rather than the 90?

Someone using it occasionally rather than every wash. Per dose it is more expensive, but a bottle used twice a month will last a long time either way.

Can I use it on towels?

Yes, and it is one of the better uses for it. Unlike a softener, it does not coat fiber, so towel absorbency is unaffected.

What is the UPC?

Great option, especially with kids.

I honestly don't know why I waited so long to start using a laundry sanitizer. This stuff is amazing. It leaves my clothes smelling so fresh and especially with having kids this helps so much with all the blowouts we need to clean out of their clothes. It never leaves any kind of residue and its a nice little additive to my already laundry routine.

Works really well.

Laundry sanitizer isn't something you think you need when you wash clothes , but it most definitely is especially when it's time for the kiddos to go back to school. This also works really well with clothes that smell sour, or sweaty it Instantly takes that odor away. I've used this religiously and love it. I also love the smell.

Extra Freshness and Confidence in Every Wash

I love having Lysol Laundry Sanitizer as an added step in my laundry routine. It gives me extra confidence that clothes, towels, and other fabrics are getting a deeper clean, especially for items that need a little more attention. It helps eliminate odors and leaves laundry feeling fresh without overpowering scents. A great addition for anyone looking for an extra level of cleanliness beyond regular detergent.

Laundry sanitizer

I like using this for my sons' funky clothing after playing sports. Caught a nice sale on them, so definitely worth it value wise. I was able to share with my mom who cares for my bedridden aunt. She swears by it for removing the urine smell. I hope they go on sale again soon so we can stock up.

Use in Rinse Cycle

I love this product! I use it in place of my softener. I do this because I feel with my students being sick and coughing and sneezing all day. The bacteria entering the air, my clothes need to be sanitized. Same with my husband and I sneezing and coughing in the house, bed clothes, pillow cases, pillows, and pillow cases need to be sanitized. So, I put it in the rinse cycle. Clothes smell awesome when they come out. When they are ready to go in the dryer, I use a dryer sheet!
