Directions
Hard Surfaces 1) Fill to line 4 per gallon of water. NOTE: For some surfaces, like grout, a more concentrated solution/paste may be used. 2) Apply using a cloth, sponge, brush, or by pouring solution directly onto surface. 3) Let stand 5-30 min. Scrub as needed. For large surfaces, work with small areas, so solution does not dry on the surface. 4) Rinse well with cool water. Soft Surface Stains. Use only on water-washable upholstery and rugs. 1) Fill to line 1 per 16 ounces of water. Remove excess stains before treating. For Carpet: Apply only enough solution to saturate stain. Allow solution to stand 1-5 minutes. Do not allow solution to dry on fabrics. Blot with white towel. Repeat until stain is not visible. Rinse carpet with clean water and blot until dry. For upholstery: Do not apply solution directly on stain. Apply with clean white towel and use towel to blot out stain. Repeat until stain is not visible. Then, dampen a clean white towel with water and blot area to rinse. Cleaner, Whiter, Brighter. Add to every load. Safe for all colors. Top Loader: Fill washer with water. Add OxiClean and detergent BEFORE adding laundry. Fill to Line 1 for regular loads, or more for large heavily soiled loads. HE Waser**: Add OxiClean to washer BEFORE adding laundry. **Do not mix OxiClean with detergent in the dispenser. Read your HE owner's manual instructions. Read before use. Directions: 1) Always test OxiClean on an inconspicuous area first. Rinse, allow to dry. Safe on colorfast fabrics only.2) Follow manufacturer's instructions for water temperature and for cleaning garment or item. 3) Do not use on wool, wool blends, silk, silk blends, leather, or on fabrics labeled dry clean only. Not for use on jewelry, latex paints, woven baskets, unpainted wicker, jute, teak, or finished woods. Metals must not be soaked and must be rinsed immediately and thoroughly. Not for use on rust, dried paint, or bleach damage. Safe for septic tanks.4) OxiClean works best in warm to hot water. If washing with cold water, first dissolve OxiClean in 16 oz. of warm to hot water. Add to cold water.5) Treat stains while fresh. Always rinse well with cool water. Do not place fabric that has not been thoroughly rinsed into dryer.6) Some stains require repeated or longer treatments. Adding more OxiClean powder than directed increases the risk of color loss. Tough laundry stains. Mix until completely dissolved. Use warmest water possible Use solution within 6 hours. 1) Fill scoop to line 2 to 4 per gallon of water. Submerge stained items in solution after dissolved. Line 2 for typical stains or Line 4 for extra tough stains. 2) SOAK 1-6 hours. Depending on severity of stain, some stains may require more time to soak. For best results soak for 6 hours. 3) WASH as normal with detergent and OxiClean.

Questions about this product
How much powder is in the tub?
7.22 lbs net. The tub weighs 7.82 lb on the shelf, so it is a two hand lift off a high laundry shelf.
What surfaces is it rated for?
Eleven of them: carpet, ceramics, fabric, fiberglass, finished and sealed wood, glass, laminates, metal, plastic, upholstery, and vinyl. That range is what the Versatile Stain Remover line is named for.
How do I dose it in a top loading washer?
Fill the washer with water, add the powder and your detergent before the laundry, and fill the scoop to the bottom of Line 1 for a regular load or higher for a large or heavily soiled one.
How do I dose it in a high efficiency washer?
Powder into the drum before the laundry, line 1 for a regular load and line 2 for large or heavily soiled. Never into the detergent dispenser.
How do I mix a soak?
Fill the scoop to between line 2 and line 4 per gallon of water and let it dissolve before the item goes in. Soak 1 to 6 hours, best results at 6, then wash as normal with detergent.
Does it need hot water?
Warm to hot water dissolves it properly and hot water is what reviewers who get the best results describe using. Cold water leaves undissolved grit that can sit against dark fabric.
Is it color safe?
Yes, it is oxygen based rather than chlorine bleach. Test a hidden seam on anything dark or delicate, and keep it away from wool, silk, and leather.
Can I use it on food stains?
It carries a food use rating, and food, grease, and old underarm marks are the categories reviewers name most on this tub.
Is the big tub worth it over the small one?
It is the same powder. Buy this size if you soak regularly or clean beyond the laundry, because the cost per load drops and a soak uses several scoops at once.
What does it smell like?
It is listed as scented in the fresh family. The scent is in the powder rather than the finished laundry, so clothes do not come out perfumed.
How should I store it?
Somewhere dry with the lid closed. A 7 lb tub on a damp floor beside a washer will cake, and once it sets the scoop lines stop meaning anything.
What is the UPC?
757037517918.
