How many loads does the bottle do?
96 loads from 126 fluid ounces, which works out at about 1.3 fl oz per load.
How much should I use?
The lower cap line for a normal load. It is an ultra concentrated formula and overdosing is the most common self-inflicted problem with it, leaving residue on fabric and making the scent sit heavier rather than rinsing out.
Has the formula changed?
Yes. Persil Original was reformulated as Deep Clean and the scent changed with it. Long-term users describe the current fragrance as much stronger and more artificial than the version the brand built its reputation on. If you are repurchasing on that memory, the scent is the thing that has changed.
Does it still clean as well?
On cleaning power, yes, and almost nobody disputes that. It carries stain removing as a rated feature and reviewers still report it lifting odor out of gym and work clothing. A minority say heavy stain lifting is weaker than before.
Is it safe for HE machines?
Yes, it carries a High Efficiency rating.
What is in it?
Water and C12-15 alcohols are the primary ingredients, the latter being the surfactant group doing the cleaning.
What should I use if I am sensitive to fragrance?
Persil's Sensitive Skin line uses the same cleaning system without the fragrance load. Given that scent is the specific complaint with this formula, that is the direct swap.
How should I store it?
Upright somewhere that does not freeze. A concentrated liquid that has frozen and thawed can separate, and shaking does not always recombine it.
Is the 126 oz bottle awkward to pour?
It is heavy when full. People commonly decant into a smaller bottle or use the tap dispenser versions for that reason.
