Questions about this product
How many loads does the bottle do?
25 loads from 34 fluid ounces, the smallest bottle in the Persil range.
How do I measure a dose?
Fill the cap to Line 1 for regular loads, which is 1.56 fl oz or 46.1 ml. Line 2 is for larger or heavily soiled loads. Filling the cap to the brim is roughly double what a regular load needs.
Is it color safe?
Yes, this listing carries a color safe rating alongside stain removing and High Efficiency.
Has the scent changed?
Yes. The Deep Clean reformulation changed the fragrance noticeably, and that is the dominant complaint across every Persil listing. Long-term buyers describe it as stronger and more artificial than the original.
Does it clean as well as the old formula?
Cleaning power is not the complaint. Stain removal is a rated feature and the positive reviews still describe it lifting odor that other detergents leave.
Is it safe for HE machines?
Yes, it carries a High Efficiency rating for front loaders and HE top loaders.
Who should buy the 34 oz?
Someone trying the brand, or a small household. It is the most expensive per load in the range, so it is a trial size rather than a value buy.
Does it work in cold water?
Yes. Liquid detergent dissolves readily in cold, which is an advantage over powder for cold washes.
Can I use it to pretreat a stain?
Yes. Apply a small amount directly, work it in, and wash within a few minutes. Do not let it dry on the fabric.
What is the UPC?
