Preen Garden Weed Preventer is a granular pre-emergent for flower and vegetable beds, ground covers and around trees and shrubs. The 5.625 lb shaker applicator bottle covers 900 sq. ft. and is intended to prevent new weeds from sprouting; it does not kill existing weeds and should not be used on flower seeds or lawns.
Apply anytime during the growing season around established plants and transplants; rain will not wash the treatment out of the soil. Product label notes it is safe for use around many edible plants - follow label directions for specific vegetables and application details.
