Questions about this product
How many sheets are in the box?
72 dye-trapping sheets, which is the large box rather than the starter size.
How do I use one?
Place 1 sheet in the washing machine, then add your detergent and the clothing. The sheet goes in loose with the load rather than in a dispenser.
When should I use two sheets?
For large loads, and for loads with new, dark, or non-colorfast garments. New dark denim is the case that most often needs two.
What does it actually do?
It traps loose dye in the wash water before that dye can settle onto other garments. It is a color run remover, so it prevents transfer during the wash rather than fixing a garment that has already gone pink.
Can I wash whites with colors using these?
That is what people buy them for, and it is where most of the positive reviews come from. It is still a risk with a brand new, deeply dyed item, which is the case for using two sheets. A genuinely delicate white is worth washing separately.
Will it rescue a garment that already picked up dye?
No. Once dye has bonded to the fabric, a catcher sheet cannot pull it back out. This is the most common disappointment in the negative reviews and it is a misunderstanding of what the sheet does.
Can I use it with my usual detergent and softener?
Yes, it is compatible with all laundry products, so nothing about your routine has to change.
Do I reuse a sheet?
No, discard it after each wash. A used sheet has taken up as much dye as it can hold, and a gray or colored sheet coming out is it working correctly.
Are the sheets dryer safe?
Yes, the sheets are dryer safe, so a sheet that stays hidden in a sleeve through the transfer will not damage anything.
Is it color safe?
Yes, listed color safe. It removes loose dye from the water, not dye from the fabric, so the garments themselves are unaffected.
What does it smell like?
Clean Fresh, in the fresh family, and it is light. The sheet is not a fabric softener and will not scent a load on its own.
Is 72 sheets better value than the 24?
Per sheet, yes. Buy the 24 first if you have not used a catcher before, since the right number of sheets per load depends on how you sort laundry.
What is the UPC?
