Shout Color Catcher dye-trapping laundry sheets are single-use cellulose sheets designed to absorb loose dyes in the wash so you can launder mixed colors safely. They are labeled safe for all colorfast washables and for use in all water temperatures; sheets are dryer safe.
Each pack contains 24 sheets scented Clean Fresh. Use one sheet per load and two sheets for large loads or with new, dark, or non-colorfast garments.

What does a Color Catcher actually do?
It traps loose dye in the wash water before it can settle on other fabric. That is what lets you wash a red shirt with whites without the whites turning pink.
How do I use one?
Place 1 sheet in the washing machine, then add the detergent and the clothes. Two sheets for a large load. The sheet goes in before the clothes, not on top of them.
How many sheets per load?
One for a normal load, two for a large or heavily colored one. More than that does not increase the effect.
Does it let me stop sorting laundry entirely?
Not entirely, and that is worth being honest about. It handles loose dye from ordinary garments well. A brand new deep-dyed item on its first wash releases far more dye than one sheet can absorb, so wash those separately the first time.
Will it restore something already dyed pink?
No. It prevents transfer; it does not reverse it. For an already-ruined white, a color-run remover is a different product.
How do I know it worked?
The sheet comes out of the wash colored. That is the dye it absorbed rather than dye it released, and it is the most common thing people ask about.
Is it reusable?
No. A used sheet is saturated and goes in the bin.
Does it soften or scent clothes?
It carries a light Clean Fresh scent and a static control rating, but it is not a fabric softener or a dryer sheet. It goes in the wash, not the dryer.
Can I use it with bleach?
No. Bleach destroys the dye-trapping action and makes the sheet pointless.
How many loads does a 24 pack cover?
24 normal loads, or 12 large ones at two sheets each.
