Questions about this product
What comes in the kit?
The PowerMop, 2 mopping pad refills, 1 bottle of floor cleaning solution in Fresh Scent, and batteries. Everything needed to start, with refills bought separately afterwards.
How big and heavy is it?
28.47 inches long, 5.24 by 4.53 inches at the head, weighing 4.65 lb assembled. It is light enough to use one-handed on stairs.
How does it work?
Attach a pad to the mop head, insert the cleaning solution, spray as you go, and throw the dirty pad away at the end. There is no bucket and no wringing.
What floors can I use it on?
Tile, vinyl, laminate, and sealed wood. Not on unsealed or waxed wood, where any wet mop leaves marks, and not on unsealed stone.
Does it lie flat to reach under furniture?
Yes, the head is rated lie-flat, which is the main practical advantage over an upright mop. It goes under couches and beds without you moving them.
What are the running costs?
Pads and solution, both sold separately. That is the trade against a traditional mop: far less effort, a recurring cost per clean. Work out how often you mop before committing.
Does it need batteries?
Yes, for the spray mechanism. Batteries are included in the kit. The mop works as a dry sweeper if the batteries die, but the spray is the point of it.
Can I use my own cleaning solution in it?
It is designed for the Swiffer solution cartridge. People refill cartridges with their own mix, which works mechanically but can clog the nozzle with anything thicker or foamier than the original.
Is it worth it over a regular mop?
For quick, frequent cleans on hard floors, yes, and that is what the positive reviews describe. For a deep clean of a large area, a bucket mop moves more dirt for less money.
Does it come with a warranty?
No written warranty is supplied with the kit.
What is the UPC?
030772072417.
