Nice wedge

Nice and heavy. It's a point instead of a line on the sharp end like a conventional wedge has, so the contact area is lower, allowing it to stick in the wood easier initially.

Won't start using until spring. The previous one of different brand I had, the point broke off.

It works- do it again!

This is actually my second episode with this product. The first lasted about 5 years and provided 26 cords of beautifully split wood. Sadly, the old "tried and true" gave up the ghost on a huge knotted yellow pine round that had seasoned for 10 years under cover. The lady that wanted it split knows not to do THAT again! The new one I just got seems to be just slightly longer and provides all the extra muscle that large rounds require. If you've never tried these- invest the money! Your back, arms, and sledge will thank you! It pays for itself in time savings in about 1 1/2 cords. Everything after that is gravy.

works great

This is a good quality splitting wedge. More heavy duty than the gold or black wedges you find at many stores. Makes splitting wood easy

wood spliting wedge

So far has worked well. My others I had about 2" of the tip would break off. This one hasn't. I think a better design.
