Zevo Full Size Flying Insect Trap is a plug-in indoor trap that uses a smart UV and blue light to lure and capture house flies, fruit flies, gnats and other flying insects. The kit includes one full-size plug-in device and one refill cartridge; the cartridge slides in and is discarded when full for a mess-free cleanup.
Place the trap in an outlet near where you see insects and avoid competing light sources like windows. The unit rotates 90 degrees for convenience and the blue light indicates operation.

Directions
1. Remove refill from trap. 2. Peel off backing in a continuous motion where it says pull here, and discard. 3. Replace refill into trap by sliding into position. 4. Plug the trap into an indoor electrical outlet. For best performance, keep plugged in. Trap rotates 90 degrees for your convenience. To rotate the plug, hold the front of the unit upright in one hand, grasp both metal plug blades in the other hand and rotate these blades about the center of the plug to which the blades are mounted. For Best Results: Place traps in outlets that are easily accessed by flying insects and close to where you commonly see them. If not enough insects are captured, try changing the location. The blue light indicates it's working. Replace refill cartridge when it is full of insects. Check it every 15 days or as needed. This package contains one cartridge. Refill cartridges are sold separately.

What does the Zevo flying insect trap catch?
House flies, fruit flies, gnats, moths, and mosquitoes. It uses a combined UV and blue light to draw flying insects in, so it works on species that orient to light. Insects that hunt by scent in daylight are drawn in less consistently.
What size room does one trap cover?
400 square feet. That covers most kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms with one unit. For an open plan kitchen and living area, two units placed apart work better than one in the middle.
How does it kill insects, and does it use insecticide?
It does not. There is no spray, no vapour, no insecticide, and no electric grid. Insects are drawn to the light and held on an adhesive cartridge. That is why it can run continuously in a kitchen and around food preparation areas.
What are the dimensions and weight?
7 inches high by 4.5 inches wide by 3.3 inches deep, 1.96 lb, plastic housing. It plugs directly into a standard wall outlet with no cord.
What comes in the box?
One full size trap and one refill cartridge. The cartridge is a solid adhesive panel rather than a liquid or gel, so there is nothing to spill or decant.
How long does a cartridge last and how do I change it?
About 30 days of continuous use. To change it, pull the used cartridge out, peel the backing off the new one in a single continuous motion at the pull tab, and slide it in. Refill cartridges are sold separately and are the running cost of the product.
Can you see the trapped insects?
No. The housing curves over the cartridge so the adhesive surface and everything caught on it sit behind the body of the trap rather than facing into the room. That concealment is the most frequently praised feature in the reviews.
Does it need to stay plugged in all the time?
Yes. It runs 24 hours a day and works by drawing insects in continuously. The light output is low, comparable to a night light.
Is it safe to use around pets and children?
Yes. With no insecticide and no electrified grid there is nothing to be exposed to. The only consideration is outlet height, since the cartridge is adhesive and within reach at floor level.
Does it fit a horizontal outlet?
Yes. The trap rotates 90 degrees on its plug, so it hangs the right way up in either a vertical or a horizontal outlet. Rotate the body, do not force the plug.
Can I use it outdoors or on a porch?
No. It is rated for indoor use only. The housing and the adhesive cartridge are not built for weather, and outdoors it competes with every other light source.
Where should I plug it in?
Low on the wall in the room where you see the insects, away from competing light sources. Kitchens and areas near bins, drains, and fruit bowls are the usual placements. A dim corner outperforms a brightly lit room, because the trap is competing with every other light in the space.
Will it clear an infestation on its own?
It catches what is flying in the room. A persistent gnat problem usually has a breeding source such as a drain, houseplant soil, or ripening fruit, and clearing that source is what ends the cycle.
